Sunny In Las Vegas Nevada
Hello world. It’s been a crazy week, but as promised…My Las Vegas experience.
Late February of 2015, I went to Las Vegas with my cousin for a weekend getaway. Since I don’t drink alcohol nor have much interest in casinos, we stayed at the quiet side of Las Vegas. If you like all the action Vegas has to offer, but need a quiet place to get away from the chaos on the strip, The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa is the place to stay.
I have no idea why my cousin took photos of me while getting ready but I like them. lol
We went to the strip for a little night of fun
We had dinner at the Effel Tower Restaurant. I highly recommend dinner here. The food (try the smoked salmon), Fountain show, and the view of the strip was perfection!
Since I don’t know how to gamble, I took photos of my shoes and the MGM Grand Las Vegas carpet’s instead while I impatiently wait on my cousin to win some money.
The Red Rock Canyon is about 25 minutes from Las Vegas airport
What can I say about the Red Rock Canyon the view is absolutely breath taking. This is a must see and you will definitely get more for your bucks if you rent a car and drive there yourself. There is a 13 mile scenic drive, along with 19 different trails to hike, ranging from easy to strenuous. There is a $7 fee but it totally worth it!
I hope this post inspires you all to visit the quiet side of Las Vegas
